-Where Are You?

We are located on the main road (A617) between Newark and Mansfield in Kirklington. We are 4 miles from Southwell, 9 miles from Newark, 10 miles from Mansfield and 17 miles from Nottingham.
Unfortunately we are not on a bus or train route.

-When Are You Open?

P..P..Pick Up A Pumpkin is open daily from Saturday ?th October until Tuesday 31st October 2024 - pumpkin availability and weather dependant. If it is raining we may have to close the field due to health & safety. We will always update social media to let you know of any changes.

-How Much Does It Cost?

Entry is £2 per person, under 16's free

Mini squashes start from 50p. Pumpkins start from £2.

-Do You Need Wellies?

Wellies or old shoes are highly advised! The field can get very muddy, especially if it rains!
If it is too muddy due to weather conditions we will update our social media pages to inform you of any closures/changes.

-Is There Car Parking?

Yes, we have Free car parking. However, please note, there have been occasions at the weekends where we have reached full parking capacity. Unfortunately, this cannot be helped. The majority of people have been able to get in at some point throughout the day.

If the weather is wet and muddy car parking can be limited as it is in a field.

We also have limited disabled parking - if you mention to one of our car park assistants we will always endeavour to find the most suitable spot if all designated spaces are occupied.

-What Activities Are There?

We have plenty of activities for all ages to enjoy! There is a Spooky Woodland Walk, James' Pumpkin Carriage Ride, Pumpkin Bouncy Castles, Straw Tractor, BBQ, Ice Cream, Gift Tent and of course the fabulous Farm Shop! Due to weather conditions for health & safety reasons certain activities may be closed. We will update our social media to inform you of any closures/changes.

There are also lots of photo opportunities available to make this a memorable family day out!

-Are your pumpkins homegrown?

Yes, our pumpkins are home grown from seed. Due to crop rotation we grow them on our other fields and harvest them for you to pick from the field behind the farm shop. Three generations of the Maxey family are involved from planting the seed to harvest.

-Do I Need To Book?

You do not need to book to Pick a Pumpkin!

However, weekends get incredibly busy so if you are able to visit in the week we would advise this!

-Do You Take Credit/Debit Card?

Yes, we do. All payment points will accept card or cash payments.

-Can We Bring Pushchairs/Wheelchairs?

Yes, pushchairs and wheelchairs are allowed, however as we are in a field that can get muddy - use at your own risk! (We do not want you getting stuck!)

Portable toilets are provided and located around the site. We have a changing room within our Farm Shop
